Standard and Pro use the same Roost review workflow. The main difference is the thermal camera: Standard is non-radiometric and Pro is radiometric.

Roost is included for the first year of ownership. After that, it is £450 per unit per year, with the option to spread payment at £37.50 per unit a month, including software updates. Hardware and software support continues for as long as you own the unit.
Units are built to order, with a typical lead time of around four weeks from order to delivery. We’ll confirm the expected date before you order. If spreading the cost would help, ask about payment options.
128 GB of internal storage is supplied, with larger storage available to quote. An external detector is £300 to purchase. DarkFlight uses an Arca-Swiss tripod mount. Ask about a carrying bag for your unit.
Coverage planner
Find your site and add the units you expect to use. Drag each unit into position, then move its aiming handle to adjust the direction and distance shown. You can add an external detector near the activity you want to record.
Use the plan to discuss your setup with us. The view shown is a planning guide; you will still need to check the positions on site.
The rings mark 10 m, 30 m and 60 m from the detector. They show distance, rather than a tested detection range for a particular species. Call strength, weather and the site will affect what is recorded.
Each DarkFlight has a built-in detector. Matching numbers and a connecting line show which external detector is paired with each unit.

How does delivery work?+
Hire starts from 2pm and runs in 24-hour periods, so an evening emergence survey and the next morning’s re-entry are covered by one night. Delivery is free on your first hire. We’ll confirm the arrangements when you book.

We can accompany your first hire survey free of charge and take your team through the kit and the Roost review workflow.
Is Roost included?+
Yes. Roost is included with every hire and for the first year when you buy a unit. After the first year of ownership, it is £450 per unit per year, with the option to spread payment at £37.50 per unit a month, including software updates.
How do we choose Standard or Pro?+
Both record thermal video and full-spectrum audio for review in Roost. Standard has a non-radiometric camera; Pro has a radiometric camera. UltraVision can be used with recordings from both versions. Send us a little about the sites you work on and we’ll help you choose.
Can we hire for longer?+
Yes. Five-night and thirty-night prices are shown above. Repeat clients get priority booking through peak season.
Can we buy instead?+
Yes. DarkFlight is £3,250 and DarkFlight Pro is £9,999, with Roost included for the first year.
When would a purchased unit arrive?+
The usual lead time is around four weeks from order to delivery. We’ll confirm the expected date before you order.
How do we pay?+
We confirm the booking by email or phone and send an invoice. If you are buying and would like to spread the cost, ask about payment options.
